Youth/adult literacy rate ( AAA )
This indicator is proposed as an indicator for Sustainable Development Target 04.6 By 2030, ensure that all youth and a substantial proportion of adults, both men and women, achieve literacy and numeracy.
Value Range
Data
Household surveys including DHS, MICS, national surveys and censuses which collect data on literacy skills. Available regularly (at least once every 5-10 years) but not annually for c160 developing countries but few developed countries collect similar data.
